New eConferencing Suite Version 3.5

Munich • April 22, 2008 Hyperwave presents version 3.5 of its eConferencing Suite. The virtual conferencing system provides optimal support for all meeting scenarios: presentations, project meetings, virtual classrooms and typical support scenarios, with as many participants as you want to have.

In addition to all of this, it offers ad-hoc communication functionality such as presence awareness that lets you see if the desired partner is available online, and instant messaging for sending and receiving text messages. Collaborative work is supported through simultaneous audio and video applications, including text chat, whiteboard, and application and desktop sharing.

New features in version 3.5:

Mail support

eCS 3.5 can send e-mails notifications for certain events, for example, when a new user account is created, when inviting users to a session, or at the end of a session when a meeting summary is written.

Guest users

eCS 3.5 allows you to invite people who do not have an existing user account to participate in meetings. An e-mail invitation is sent that includes a one-time password that allows the user to log in and participate in the meeting.

Sub administration

eCS 3.5 allows you to grant certain administrative rights to users. These sub-administrators are able to create new user accounts, as well as edit and delete them. This feature is useful for giving someone, for example a project leader, the capability of managing users as necessary without having to wait for a central administrator to create user accounts for new project members.
