How are Office Documents Created?

Creation and editing takes place in a word processor such as Microsoft® Word™ or OpenOffice using company standard templates. Using "Save As," the document is saved directly into the document management system, and is given the required tags and attributes.

If you or one of your coworkers wishes to edit the document at a later time, you would typically need to download the file and edit it on your local system. If this done several times by several different people, then there will be multiple copies of the file each in a different state.

This cannot happen with the Hyperwave Explorer because there is no difference between editing online or off: both take place in the same location on your local file system.
Manual downloading becomes a thing of the past and changes are synchronized automatically.

Editing Web Content

Our Web Content Management solution stores content in XML format independently from the way it is displayed. This allows the same information to be shown in many different ways if so desired.

Changes made to content can be easily seen using our innovative visualization tool. Two document versions are shown simultaneously instantly revealing the differences. The versions can be faded in and out as desired. In this way reviewing changes made for approval becomes significantly easier and faster.
